My soft furnishings business was born out of my passion for beautiful fabrics and creative design.
Understanding fabrics and how they work is fundamental to creating delightful bespoke soft furnishings. My favourite fabric is linen or linen union as it is so natural, it feels lovely and drapes beautifully.
I believe that creative design encompasses style, practicality, comfort and the extra little elements to make your home unique and special.
The ethos of Dawn till Dusk is to create bespoke soft furnishings professionally handmade to the individual’s needs. My goal is to provide a professional service by being approachable and friendly.
I strive to use ethically sourced fabrics mainly from the UK and use eco friendly packing. Wherever possible I try to support local businesses.
I have a British Institute of Interior Design Diploma and have attended a variety of professional soft furnishing courses.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing the delight on my clients’ faces when they see their project completed. It’s what makes my profession so enjoyable and worthwhile.

A small British company based in Yorkshire specialising in beautiful freehand designed linen fabrics. All their unique fabric designs have been drawn freehand, painted, embroidered and finally appliquéd using vintage scraps of fabric, making the motifs so vivid, detailed, and individual. There is a stunning range for a baby’s nursery and childrens’ bedrooms decor.
Vanessa’s fabrics are designed in collections but uniquely, they all work well together sharing the same gentle colour palette and are all designed by Vanessa, so they have a similar feel.
